Sewed a group of 5" precut Thimbleberries fabrics that I have had for a while.  Made them into large four patches.  Need to decide the next step.  Is it going to be a small quilt for the grandboys or should I enlarge it and add another block to give to Chelsey?

I attempted to ride Cheyenne today.  Combination of saddle issues and anxiety got to me which prevented me from riding.  Because my legs are short, normal saddle leg length won't work.  Rick has to shorten the stirrup by about two inches.  Frank, the wonder dog, was running around barking and it made me uncomfortable because Cheyenne was acting a little different too.  At 53 the ground may only be 4-5  feet down but it looks mighty hard.  Kenneth & I sat in the shade and talked while Chelsey & Rick rode out with Everett and came back with wet horses.  The horses had not been rode in a while, simply too hot here.  Cheyenne (Rick rode her) was soaking wet, while Sassy was wet but not soaked.   Dude was corralled so that the others two horses would be free to be ridden  -  he likes to wrangle his ladies.  He worked up such a lather running around the corral - silly horse.

Everett enjoyed the ride with Chelsey - he was totally relaxed and went to sleep, of course he went to sleep at the back of the place which meant Chelsey had to hold him upright while riding Sassy back up to the front.

Maybe some day I'll learn to post pictures!

Chelsey & Everett are coming over this morning and we are going for a horse ride.  Weather is warm enough but not too hot and the ride will hopefully be calm and enjoyable.

Woke up early this morning.  Went to The Needle Niche in Athens, Texas to purchase fabric for the upcoming mystery quilt found at Quiltville.com.  It's my first participation in one of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilts.  I love her scrappy quilts.

It was a busy day that turned into a great day because Grady & Colt came to visit. Rick and I were at the end of cleaning the old travel trailer when they showed up and having Grady run around showing enthusiasm for all things new brought smiles to our faces.  We enjoyed stuffed baked potatoes from Tommy's BBQ.  Rick brought home ribs too, Grady had his first rib!  With that wonderfully sweet look he has, he said "Um, Um, I like ribs"!

I'll say it a thousand times, being a grandparent is the best!

It's early morning, and my right hand still smells of Pine Sol!
